Getting started
What is Writro?
Writro is an eBook platform where readers discover great books and writers publish, sell, and grow. Reading is free to browse; writing runs on a credit system so authors can publish sustainably.
How do I sign up?
Head to the Auth page, enter your email and a password, and you're in — no email verification required. New readers and writers receive 50 free Writro credits on signup.
I forgot my password. What now?
On the login screen tap 'Forgot password?'. We'll email you a secure reset link from no-reply@email.writro.in.
Reading & purchases
How do I read a book I purchased?
Open your Library from the header or dashboard. Every book you own appears there with your last reading position saved.
Can I read on mobile?
Yes. The reader is optimized for phones and tablets, with Paper, Sepia, and Night themes plus adjustable font size and family.
The book content isn't scrolling — what should I do?
Open the reader settings (the A icon in the top right of the reader) and switch Reading mode to 'Scroll'. Scroll mode is the default and works best on all screens.
Do I get a refund if I don't like a book?
Purchases are non-refundable once you've opened the book. If a book is broken or misrepresented, email support@writro.in and we'll make it right.
Writing & publishing
How much does it cost to publish?
Publishing an eBook costs 100 Writro credits. You keep 70% of every sale forever. There is no monthly fee for authors on the free plan.
Can I import a Word or PDF document?
Yes. In the Writing Studio, use 'Import document' to turn a DOCX, PDF, or EPUB into chapters automatically. Imports cost 20 credits.
What is Writro AI?
Writro AI helps you draft titles, blurbs, chapter summaries, rewrites, and more. Each action costs a small number of credits — you'll see the price before you run it.
How do I set my book's price?
In the Writing Studio, open your book and set the price in INR or USD. You can update it anytime; existing buyers keep access.
Credits & Writro Plus
What are Writro credits?
Credits are the fuel for AI features, imports, and publishing. Every new user gets 50 free credits. Buy more anytime from the Pricing page.
What is Writro Plus?
Writro Plus is a monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks unlimited AI usage and priority publishing perks. See the Subscribe page for current pricing.
Do credits expire?
No. Purchased credits never expire. Bonus credits from promotions may expire — the offer will always say so.
Payments
Which payment methods work?
We use Razorpay for INR and international cards. UPI, cards, netbanking, and wallets are supported in India.
My payment failed. What now?
Wait a minute, then retry from the same page. If money was deducted but no access granted, email support@writro.in with the payment ID — we reconcile within 24 hours.
Account & privacy
How do I edit my profile?
Open the account menu in the top right and choose Profile. You can change your display name, author slug, bio, and profile photo.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email support@writro.in from your account email and we'll remove your data within 7 days.
