Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-07-29
These terms cover how you use Writro (writro.in) as a reader, writer, or publisher. Please read them before signing up.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.
One person, one account — please don't use multiple accounts to abuse credits, promotions, or reviews.
You own your work
You retain all copyright and ownership of every book, chapter, cover, and file you upload to Writro. Writro never claims ownership of your book.
By publishing a book, you grant Writro a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable licence — solely so we can host, display, sell, and distribute the book to readers according to the settings you choose.
You can unpublish or delete your book at any time. The licence ends when you do. Copies already delivered to paying readers remain in their libraries.
What you can publish
Only content you have the right to publish. See our Content Guidelines and Copyright Policy for the full list.
You are legally responsible for the content of your book. Writro is a platform, not the author.
We may remove or hide content that violates these terms, the law, or a valid copyright complaint.
Credits, payments and payouts
Writro uses a credit system. 1 credit = ₹1. Credits pay for publishing and other author tools.
Book sales are processed via our payment partner. Authors keep 70% of the net sale price after payment fees.
All sales on Writro are final — the platform does not offer refunds on purchased books or credit top-ups.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from your profile.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, uses the platform to infringe someone else's rights, or attempts to defraud readers or authors.
Liability
Writro is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running, but we do not guarantee uptime or that the service will be error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, Writro is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
